Tribe Cool Crew #3
Maybe it’s because I’m getting used to it, but this ep was the most “conventional” kids show feeling to me. that said, Tribe Cool Crew still has that “it” factor that makes me tolerate watching it.

Kamen Rider Blade #2 & #3
Man, I dunno why peeps have accused these early eps of being slow. Blade pretty much throws the viewer into the deep end. There’s no Spider-Man origin as with other Rider shows. By ep #3, we already know the basic story of the Undead and that using the “Rider System” will probably cause your body to break down.

It’s an interesting way to go about things. It leaves me wondering how the rest of the series will go. I initially thought I might have known too much about the show by way of spoilers, but at this point, I have no idea. I’m hoping for some good character interaction as the series progresses.

Criticisms-wise, I guess the video quality’s kinda weird, but that’s to be expected considering the age of this show. The acting is of course, a little hammy here and there. And I’m thinking the actors all have the same kinda look, which makes it a little hard to tell who’s who if you’re not paying attention.

Interestingly, there’s very little by way of silliness. There’s a little bit here and there but it’s a pretty heavy show so far. It’s straight up drama, only with guys in rubber suits fighting. Even then, the designs from that era lack the silliness of current Rider shows, so it could easily pass as prime time or mainstream material. I mean, hey, Buffy wasn’t a Saturday morning show was it?
